???? Hiring: Head of SHES (Safety, Health, Environment & Security) | Qatar
Join a major Oil & Gas project and lead SHES excellence across onshore and offshore pipeline construction, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.
???? Location: Doha, Qatar (100% Onshore)
???? Contract Type: Long-Term Contract
???? Work Schedule: 6 Days per Week
???? Rotation: 12 Weeks ON / 2 Weeks OFF
Key Requirements
✅ Bachelor's Degree in Science, Safety, Health, Environment, Security, or Engineering
✅ NVQ Level 6 or Level 7 Qualification (Mandatory)
✅ Minimum 10 years of SHES experience within the Oil & Gas industry
✅ Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
✅ Strong offshore experience, particularly in pipeline construction, installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning
✅ Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, and vendor personnel
✅ Strong knowledge of SHES Management Systems, Risk Management, ALARP principles, Incident Investigation, and Emergency Response
✅ Experience supporting large-scale Oil & Gas projects covering both onshore and offshore scopes
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee SHES activities during pipeline construction, installation, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up phases.
• Provide strategic SHES guidance to Project Management Teams and Contractors.
• Review and approve contractor SHES plans, procedures, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate SHES audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Drive Incident & Injury Free (IIF) culture across the project.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis activities.
• Monitor contractor SHES performance and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support emergency preparedness, response planning, and workforce training programs.
• Provide weekly and monthly SHES performance reporting to senior management.
• Promote a culture of proactive safety leadership and continuous improvement.
