Experience
We are looking to appoint a HSE Training Manager / Lead Trainer.
The requirements are as follows:
– Academic degree in HSE; or International NEBOSH Diploma (Preferable IGC LVL 3); or Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health
– Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a full-time HSE Adviser/ supervisor or a manager
– Must have both Arabic and English communication skills
– Salary depending on the qualification and experience
Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced HSE Manager to join our team in Muscat, Oman. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations across all operational activities. This role will involve developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs and protocols to minimize risk, prevent accidents, and promote a safe working environment. The HSE Manager will also lead the team in promoting a culture of safety across all business units.
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, national, and international HSE laws, regulations, and standards, including Oman’s labor laws, environmental protection laws, and other relevant regulations.
HSE Policy and Procedure Development: Develop, implement, and review the company’s HSE policies, procedures, and manuals, ensuring they align with industry best practices and company goals.
Risk Assessment & Hazard Analysis: Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard identification, and environmental impact assessments. Develop and implement corrective and preventive measures based on findings.
Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents. Identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and ensure timely reporting to authorities and relevant stakeholders.
Training & Awareness: Organize and conduct regular HSE training sessions for employees, contractors, and stakeholders to promote a culture of safety. Ensure employees understand the hazards associated with their work and the precautions to take.
Emergency Response & Preparedness: Develop, implement, and regularly test emergency response plans (ERP) and procedures. Ensure that all employees are trained in emergency evacuation, firefighting, and first aid procedures.
Audits & Inspections: Carry out regular HSE audits and site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards. Identify areas for improvement and track performance through audits.
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of HSE activities, incidents, risk assessments, training sessions, and other documentation. Prepare and submit periodic HSE reports to management, clients, and regulatory authorities.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with senior management, project managers, and other departments to ensure seamless implementation of HSE initiatives and continuous improvement of safety practices.
Promote HSE Culture: Lead by example in promoting a proactive safety culture. Motivate staff to follow best safety practices and encourage participation in safety programs and initiatives.
Sustainability Initiatives: Work on environmental sustainability projects to ensure compliance with environmental standards, reduce waste, and promote energy-efficient practices across operations.

- Occasional travel to project sites may be required.

Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus). Strong knowledge of local regulations and international HSE standards (OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, etc.).
- Proficiency in HSE management software and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
